On a June afternoon, I would try to explore
The depths of my being that reside at my core
I let it all go; I checked my pride at the door
And I sat all alone on the side of the shore
I found inner peace in the waves of the lake
Joy in the clouds, and the shapes they would take
Freedom as the birds, with their grace, levitate
I found love on this shore, in this place; meditate
I found romance in water, affection in trees
Surrounded by mountains, protected and free
And all of this time, I had rejected to see
That all of these things are a reflection of me
